Weekends of Hope: Steps For Suicide Prevention In El Paso County

You’re invited to join one (or more) of these 5K run or walk events happening this September 2025.

• Out Of The Darkness: American Foundation For Suicide Prevention 9/6/25
  This walk gives people the courage to open up about their own connections to the cause, and a platform to create a culture that’s smarter about mental health. Friends, family members, neighbors and coworkers walk side-by-side, supporting each other and in memory of those we’ve lost.

• Make A Connection Walk Or Run: UCHealth 9/20/25
  Family-friendly 5k run/walk for suicide prevention and social connection, with a focus on physicians and medical providers.
  Program Starts: 8:30 AM
  Location: UCHealth Park Stadium
• Race Against Suicide: Pikes Peak Suicide Prevention 9/21/25
  A charity 5k run and a 3k walk to support suicide prevention awareness and resources throughout El Paso County. This event starts with a dedication ceremony with a tree planting, for those lives lost to suicide.
  Program Starts: 9:15 AM, with onsite registration and check in starting at 7:00 AM

• Foster The Future 5K Fun Run: Fountain-Fort Carson District 9/27/25
  This event raises funds to support programs vital to the health and wellness of the Fountain Fort Carson Community, including suicide prevention efforts and FFC D8’s food pantry and clothing closet.
