The Basics of Involuntary Commitment

This training is intended for Colorado licensed professionals in the mental health field who may need to place their clients on an involuntary hold. Participants will be taught a basic understanding of the Colorado Revised Statutes for Behavorial Health and the Care and Treatment of Persons With Mental Illness (CRS 27-65) and criteria for Involuntary Commitment, how to complete the required documentation, and what to do after a client if placed on an involuntary hold.

Learn Placement and Transportation Options for a Patient who is Placed on an M1 Hold

– Send to ED
