QPR is a gateway training in suicide prevention. When it comes to saving the life of someone in a mental health crisis, QPR is the equivalent of CPR training. This training educates participants in basic suicide prevention and how to support those who may be at risk of suicide. Every responsible community member should know how to identify the signs of suicide and how to seek help.
These trainings can give anyone more confidence in asking people about suicide or help them get to the care they need. Training is held from 8 – 10 a.m.
