Fentanyl, Social Media, Chatbots and the Risks Facing Our Kids: A Town Hall
On behalf of Blue Rising, we invite you to join us for an upcoming town hall in Colorado Springs focused on some of the serious risks facing children and families in our community.

The event will bring together local law enforcement, impacted families, parents, and community members for a candid conversation about the challenges young people are facing, both online and in their communities.
District Attorney Michael Allen will provide an update on what his office is seeing in El Paso and Teller counties, including issues related to fentanyl and youth safety. Deputy Chief Doug Trainer of the Colorado Springs Police Department will discuss what local law enforcement is seeing online and steps families can take to help keep kids safer.
Most importantly, we will hear directly from families who have experienced devastating losses related to fentanyl poisoning, harmful social media algorithms, and AI chatbots. Their stories are at the heart of Blue Rising’s work and offer an important perspective for policymakers as Colorado continues to consider how best to protect children.
