Economic Stability & Supports

The Collaborative is forming a new Work group surrounding the issues of Economic Stability and suicide prevention. By implementing economic stability efforts, it is expected that these approaches will increase protective factors, reduce risk factors, and prevent suicide behaviors.

Economic stability and supports refers to the level of economic resources and the degree of equity in the distribution of resources among individuals and communities. These supports may include the benefits resulting from laws and policies, childcare and school options, adequate employment and living wages, access to housing, transportation, social services, and education.
